Lielle
Los Angeles, CA2026
Lielle is an intimate set menu restaurant designed for award-winning chef Marcus Jernmark. Located below street level in the former Bicyclette space, the restaurant was reimagined by Lovers Unite as a modern wine cave: low, immersive, and romantic.
A custom door and reworked exterior set with brick pavers guide guests below street level - a soft light illuminates a brass plaque engraved with Lielle, the name of Jernmark's daughter, and a doorbell to be admitted. Upon entering, barrel-vaulted cork ceilings arch overhead, punctuated by mirror-tipped bulbs that create a rhythmic pattern of light. Antique lights from Denmark and France cast a soft, jelly-like glow throughout, recalling candlelit French cellars.
Nearly every element was custom designed by Lovers Unite, from the smoked cherry chef's counter and bar to zinc-clad service stations and brass-capped antique mirrors. The result is a space that feels discovered: a romantic, earthy, and surprising space for exceptional service and food.
