REI: Chicago Waterfront2019
REI: Chicago Waterfront. Alan and Karen collaborated with REI’s creative team and Callison RTKL to envision and develop the concept design and schematic program for REI Co-op’s 40,000-square-foot retail store and boathouse on the Chicago waterfront. Opened to the public in 2019, the space was designed to seamlessly connect urban adventurers to the outdoors, offering an immersive retail experience alongside direct access to paddling and recreation on the river.
